Story time from another one of our oldest customers 🦅 “In 1982, in my early 20’s, I bought a touring bicycle and set off for 6 months of riding in Europe. In 1992 I started a travel adventure TV series called Passport to Adventure. For 20 years, our Eagle Creek gear carried all of our production equipment, which in those days, consisted of very heavy batteries, BetaCam and tapes as well as our personal items. Never in all of those years did we have any problem with our EC luggage, not even a bad zipper. After 20 years on the air, I sold Passport to Adventure in 2013. I convinced my husband to semi retire and we set out to nomad for 6-8 months of each year. We are now in our 60’s & 70’s, so have upgraded slightly, from backpackers, to flash packers, which just means we have wheels on our bags now! We still stay in guesthouses, and love local ground transportation, but include hotels & resorts into the mix. Last year was the first time I have ever had to send in a piece of Eagle Creek luggage for repair, and ironically, it wasn’t from hauling it over cobblestones, dirt roads, on back of carts, tuk tuks and rooftops of boats and busses, it was just the darn airline luggage conveyer belt that had chewed up one of my wheels! I was very happy with the EC warranty service on my trusty old suitcase. I still have my World Journey backpack, hoping our kids or grandkids will travel one day, and I can hand it down to them! Or, who knows, maybe we’ll go back to backpacking again!”
